A well attended memorial service was held at Michels & Lundquist Funeral Home on September 1st. Walter passed away earlier that week after a brief illness. ...was a charter member. The same can be said about Walter at Colonial Hills. Walter was always on hand at bingo, breakfasts, dinners and most other functions. He was a regular at the Tuesday Bridge Club as well. The Bridge Club had a 95th birthday celebration for him on July 4th the Pinochle Club also attended.

The minister also said it was suprising to see so many people at a service for someone of his age. Instead of the ten or twelve people at most services for someone 95 years of age, there were many times that at the service. Many of the church and from Colonial Hills were there. Walter will be greatly missed.
