Page 1 of 2 I’m glad we got a president’s message this month. Earl wrote it from Helen Ellis hospital. He was due to come home the 11th of November, but unfortunately some complications happened and as I write this, he is still there. Cards, prayers and visits help earl a lot, but getting home is what he wants. Let’s hope by the time you read this, he will be home. I hope you have noticed the chart in the clubhouse under the picture of the building. It relates to the campaign for the roof and air conditioning. Both are running on borrowed... ...time and the goal is $30,000.00. It seems like a huge sum but we have had exploratory bids and this is the minimum we will need. Contributions are welcomed and may be given to any officer or board member or sent to the association at 3852 Prime Place, NPR – FL 34652. Contributions are tax deductible if you itemize. Receipts will be given.I hope you have noticed how the front yard of the club house looks. It is nice to see the mulch around the bushes. It sure dresses the place up. Inside too, has been spruced up as well. We are happy to report that attendance at pinochle has picked up. We still welcome new players on Tuesdays at noon. Bridge would like more participants as well. For bridge, please call the chairlady. For Pinochle no advance calls are necessary, just show up a little before noon on Tuesday. Participation in either of these activities does require club (association) membership. However you can come as a guest a few times. The same applies to pool playing... Information on that can be gotten by calling the person in charge. All these people are listed in this newsletter. Hope you can join in these activities. Our Bingo on Thursday continues to attract new players. It is a friendly bunch of players and the people running it are Pleasant & helpful as well. If you or any of your friends like Bingo give us a try. Bingo is open to the public meaning membership in our association is not necessary, but we sure would be happy to have you join. Regarding membership, you do NOT have to live in Colonial Hills to be a member. Associate members are welcome and we encourage you to join even if you don’t live in our subdivision. About the only thing associate members can’t do is vote on things. This does not prevent associate members from participation in any & all events.
