ANOTHER SUCCESSFUL SOUP AND SALAD CARD PARTY AND LUNCHEON

Although the number of tables was disappointing, the enthusiasm and generosity of the guests was most gratifying. The coffers of the Colonial Hills Civic Association received the profit of $332.00. The ladies who helped prepare the food, set the tables, serve the food and then clean up are owed a huge debt of gratitude. Thank you all. Thanks also to Sandy Bennett of Talk of the Town Beauty Salon who contributed...

...two gift certificates to Steve Bennett of State Farm Insurance, John Timpanelli, Shirley Hayden and Phyllis Galbraith who also provided door prizes. And of course, thank you to those of you who attended and made it the success it was.

LOOKING AHEAD TO THE NEXT CARD PARTY

With the Association in such dire financial straits, it is imperative that we have more money making events. Those who were in charge of the November party are willing to do it again in January IF WE GET THE HELP WE NEED!!!!!!  The Association Building is reserved on Wednesday, January 24 if we can get the volunteers to make another card party possible. It only takes a couple of hours if the work is divided into set up, food prep, serving and cleanup. Those people who worked the first three processes also had to do the clean up and needless to say, it was exhausting. Many hands make light work. Those who wish to play cards can do the set up and food prep. And those who don't care to play cards can serve and do the clean up. Our club is ailing and the only medicine that will make it better will come in a big dose of greenbacks. If you want to see this Civic Association survive, help give it the shot in the arm that it needs. Call Phyllis at (727) 938-5215 and tell me what you want to nurse it back to health and happiness.
